1/5 Interdependence N°1 - Format 100 x 76 cm Aluminum composite ink - 2023 Utopian Ecosystems by Damien Viel ​ As a child, Damien Viel lived very close to nature, already aware that he was part of a whole; this sensitivity is found today in each of his works which themselves refer to molecular biology as well as to human physiology and metaphysics... ​ The works produced by the artist then integrate evolutionary series that can interact with each other and exalt each other, thus reproducing the pattern of evolution according to which living things adapt to their environment and to other organisms that surround it to better survive. During his research, he realizes that there are many similarities and connections between very different backgrounds by choosing to associate them, he offers a new perception and invites us to look at the world differently.
